Berber Red Coral Vintage Franc Coin Necklace
This is a traditional piece of exquisite vintage jewellery dating back around 70 years old mad from the Berber people in the Kingdom of Morocco in the atlas Mountains.
This rare necklace is adorned using Red Coral beads along with some turquoise and the necklace has 2 Moroccan Franc coins that date back to 1921, also marked Empire of Cherifien.
This statement vintage necklace measures 50 cm long with the franc coins measuring 2.5 cm in diameter wide.
The clasp is a silver tone S shape hook.
The original necklace was damaged and needed to be restrung on tiger wire chord, it has been kept almost to the original design.
Red Coral is a rare find and it is not sourced anymore as the Coral reefs around the world are protected due to environmental decline in the coral species.
