Percy’s Butterfly Acrylic Painting

Erica painted this artwork early 2023.  It is an impression of her idea of how her Great grandfather’s Butterfly tattoo on his body related to him. Her great grandfather Percy Isaac Golding was a soldier in World War I.  He was stationed in France in 1915 and was 20 years old.

Erica sometimes feels his spirit around her, hence wanting to embrace his teachings and philosophy of the meaning behind hid Butterfly tattoo, probably being the butterfly’s metamorphosis, it’s remarkable ability to change in it’s life’s cycle.

This painting is on a box canvas (no frame) measuring approx 58 centimeters by 43 cm.
